Appellant NorAm Energy Corporation (NorAm) appeals from the district court's determination that NorAm abused its discretion in denying Appellee Brenda Fletcher-Merrit long-term disability (LTD) benefits. NorAm argues the district court improperly applied an abuse of discretion standard by substituting its opinion for that of the plan administrator.
