Appellants Harlan and Cheryl Baumann appeal the district court's summary judgment in favor of respondent Chaska Building Center. The district court concluded that because the market value of appellants' home exceeded $200,000, the homestead exemption protected only $200,000 of its market value. Appellants claim the homestead exemption applies to their equity in the property, not its market value...
