Plaintiff-appellant Hideki Kojima, trustee for a Japanese entity involved in bankruptcy proceedings in Japan, seeks to gain title to a golf course located in La Veta, Colorado, referred to by the parties as "the property."1 To do so, Kojima attacks the validity of a transfer of ownership of the golf course, claiming it should be set aside under Japanese bankruptcy law and was fraudulent, as well as a subsequent tax...
