Can a judgment of default be entered against a parent who was incarcerated out of state at the hearing on the termination of his parental rights, but who was represented by counsel? This issue came before the Supreme Court on the appeal of Eric A. (respondent) from a decree of the Family Court that entered a default judgment against him for failure to appear at a hearing that terminated his parental rights and granted the petition...
