Appellants, injured in an apartment building fire, challenge the district court's grant of summary judgment to the building owner, arguing that the district court (1) erred by applying the wrong legal standard; (2) erred by granting summary judgment when there were genuine issues of material fact in dispute; and (3) abused its discretion by refusing to grant a continuance so appellants could complete discovery.
