The defendant was indicted as a youthful offender on two charges of forcible rape of a child under the age of sixteen years and two charges of indecent assault and battery of a child under the age of fourteen years. Prior to trial, the defendant filed three motions to dismiss, all of which were denied by a motion judge.1 At the close of the prosecution's case, the defendant filed a motion for a required finding of not guilty...
