After Dwayne Hill was found guilty of second-degree murder in Nebraska, he successfully petitioned for state post-conviction relief, see Neb.Rev.Stat. Ann. § 29-3001 through § 29-3004. He was retried, was found guilty of second-degree murder again, and was sentenced to life imprisonment.
