Defendant, Bobby Q. Magee, Jr., was charged by bill of information with two counts of distribution of cocaine in a drug free zone in violation of La. R.S. 40:981.3. He pled not guilty, was tried by jury and convicted as charged.

Defendant was sentenced on both counts to twenty years each at hard labor, with fifteen years to be served without benefit of probation, parole, or suspension of sentence. The sentences are to be served concurrently to each...
