FOIL, Judge.

Defendant, Danny Ray Lee, was charged by indictment with second degree murder, a violation of La. R.S. 14:30.1. After pleading not guilty, he was tried by jury and convicted as charged. He received the mandatory sentence of life in prison at hard labor without probation, parole or suspension of sentence. Defendant appealed, urging two assignments of error.
