In the early evening of July 18, 1996, Richard Adams1 brutally murdered his mother-in-law at her home in Foxborough, by stabbing her repeatedly in the chest and abdomen and striking her in the head with a blunt instrument. Shortly thereafter, Adams killed his father-in-law as he returned from work and was about to enter the home, striking him fourteen times in the head and neck with a hammer. Adams then set fire to the house...
