¶ 1. This is a criminal appeal from the Circuit Court of Lauderdale County, Mississippi, where Simeon Hughes was indicted, tried by a jury, and convicted of armed robbery. Hughes, a habitual offender, was sentenced to 34 years in the custody of the Mississippi Department of Corrections without the possibility of parole.
