PAUL H. ANDERSON, Justice.

On May 6, 1998, a Hennepin County jury found appellant Milton K. Sanders guilty of one count of first-degree murder and two counts of attempted first-degree murder. Sanders was sentenced to life imprisonment for the first-degree murder conviction and consecutive 180 month sentences for the two attempted first-degree murder convictions. Sanders appealed, and we affirmed his conviction. State v. Sanders,
