On the day of his trial for charges stemming from a bank robbery, Shanti Banks-Giombetti entered open guilty pleas to the entire indictment. Because Mr. Giombetti had waited until the last minute to change his pleas, the district court ordered him to pay the cost of assembling the jury venire for his trial.
