Plaintiff was employed by defendant Royal Life Insurance Company of New York, Inc. in its premium accounting department. Plaintiff has diabetes and, in 1994, he was diagnosed with Graves Disease, a thyroid condition that exacerbated his diabetes and interfered with his work performance.
