James Lorenzo Fitts appeals his conviction for first-degree robbery.1 He contends that much of the evidence against him was obtained during an illegal search of his room. Fitts also contends that the judge who presided over his trial wrongfully prevented his attorney from asking certain questions of a government witness, questions that would have revealed a potential defense to the robbery charge...
