OPINION

JACKSON, Associate Presiding Judge:

¶ 1 Garcia appeals from his conviction for manslaughter under Utah Code Ann. § 76-5-205 (1995). He relies on State v. Torres, 619 P.2d 694 (Utah 1980) to argue that the jury was not adequately instructed about the burden of proof associated with the affirmative defense of self-defense. The State argues that State v. Knoll, 712 P.2d 211
