WILLIAMS, Judge.

The defendant, Johnnie Beavers, was charged by bill of information with two counts of battery of a police officer, violations of LSA-R.S. 14:34.2(B)(3). After a jury trial, he was found guilty of one count of battery of a police officer and one count of simple battery. The trial court sentenced the defendant to serve six months in the parish jail for each conviction, with the sentences to be served concurrently.1
