¶ 1. Anthony Smith was convicted of aggravated assault after a jury trial in the Circuit Court of Chickasaw County. Smith raises the following issues on appeal: 1) the trial court should have granted a new trial due to a tainted venire; 2) his confession was involuntary; and 3) the probative value of the photographs of the victim were outweighed by their prejudicial effect.
