At issue is whether this medical malpractice action is barred by the passage of time. The decedent's grandchildren initially filed the request for a medical review panel and later amended their request to name the decedent's surviving sister as claimant. After sustaining the defendants' exceptions of no right of action, peremption and prescription, the trial court dismissed the action.
