Husband appeals a judgment modifying a judgment of dissolution of marriage. We hold that the trial court lacked subject matter jurisdiction. Accordingly, we vacate the judgment.

The relevant facts are as follows: Husband and wife were married in Oregon in 1982. In 1993, the parties' marriage was dissolved in Montana. That final judgment of dissolution awarded the parties joint legal custody of their two children, with wife appointed as the primary...
