From 1993 to 1997, Ralph Grayson, an African American man, was Special Agent in Charge ("SAIC") of the Chicago Field Office of the United States Secret Service. In July 1997, he was removed from that position after an investigation into complaints made by Special Agents who worked or had worked under him.
