¶ 1. Appellant King Edward May was indicted by a Harrison County grand jury for the sexual battery, capital rape, and statutory rape of his minor daughter. Following a trial, the jury found May guilty of sexual battery, but acquitted him on the charges of capital rape and statutory rape. The circuit court sentenced May to twenty years imprisonment in the custody and control of the Mississippi Department of Corrections without hope...
