I. INTRODUCTION

Stacey Lawrence, Jr. was seriously injured in a car accident caused by an underinsured motorist. Lawrence exhausted the "Each Person" limits of the uninsured/underinsured motorist (UM/UIM) provisions of his family's State Farm Mutual Automobile Insurance Co. policies. His parents then sought to collect separate policy limits under the "Each Accident" provision of their UM/UIM provisions...
