Defendant, Ariedell Davis, was charged with aggravated rape of his 16-year-old stepdaughter, R.W., arising from an incident which occurred on April 27, 1999. After trial by jury, Defendant was found guilty as charged. Defendant's Motions for New Trial and for Post Verdict Judgment of Modification were denied; and, after waiving delays, the trial court sentenced Defendant to serve at hard labor for the remainder of his life.
