On August 16, 2000, Vetra Lillette Adams was convicted of possession of a controlled substance (cocaine), a violation of § 13A-12-212(a)(1), Ala.Code 1975. The trial court sentenced Adams to serve two years in prison, but suspended the sentence and placed Adams on probation for two years. This appeal followed.
