The subject of this appeal is the distribution of the estate of Candice Leigh Lunsford, who died at the age of eighteen in an automobile accident on 30 June 1999. Decedent's parents, petitioner Dawn Bean and respondent Randy Lunsford, were married in November 1980. Their only child, Candice Leigh Lunsford ("Candi"), was born on 21 June 1981.
