Clementina Souchet owns an apartment building on Chicago's Northwest side. In the Winter of 1997-1998, Souchet placed an ad in the Chicago Sun-Times seeking new tenants for a three-bedroom apartment in the building. Jacqueline Wilson expressed some interest in the apartment, but believes Souchet prevented her from renting it because Wilson is African-American. This 42 U.S.C. §§ 1981...
