¶ 1. DEININGER, J.

Officials of the Department of Corrections appeal a judgment declaring that the department lacks legal authority to transfer the petitioning inmates "to facilities outside of the state of Wisconsin without their consent."1 The department claims that the trial court erred in concluding that it lacked statutory authority to transfer the inmates to out-of-state facilities. We agree and thus reverse the appealed judgment...
