PLOTKIN, J.

Willmoth Walker was convicted of manslaughter, a violation of La. R.S. 14:31, and was sentenced to 80 years imprisonment at hard labor to run consecutively with any other sentence imposed, with credit for time served. He has appealed his conviction, asserting three assignments of error. We affirm for the reasons set forth below.
