MEMORANDUM OPINION AND ORDER

BUCKLO, District Judge.

In 1999, Richard Hanson was fired from his job as a driver at Consolidated Freightways when DrugScan, a drug-testing firm, reported that a urine sample Hanson had submitted for a required drug test was not of human origin. Hanson sued DrugScan in Illinois circuit court, alleging negligent testing, and claiming economic, reputational and psychological damages in excess of more than $50,000.
