In this patent infringement action, plaintiff Schreiber Foods, Inc. alleged that defendants Beatrice Cheese, Inc.; Kustner Industries, S.A.; and the three Great Lakes Cheese defendants infringed various claims of U.S.Patent Numbers 5,440,860 (the '860 patent) and 5,701,724 (the '724 patent). On August 24, 1998, a jury found defendants liable for willful infringement of all but one of the asserted claims...
