Plaintiffs, employees of the state of Wisconsin, filed this complaint in Dane County Circuit Court, contending that defendants violated the Fair Labor Standards Act, 29 U.S.C. §§ 201-219, by requiring plaintiffs to perform essential job duties without compensation before and after their work shifts.
