SMITH, J.:

Clarence Jones appeals his conviction of unintentional second-degree murder. We reverse and remand for a new trial.

On February 4, 1998, Clarence Jones, age 15, shot and killed Justin Stanley, age 16. The events that led up to this tragic event began that morning in a music class attended by both young men.
