Jeff Galindo was convicted, following a jury trial, of statutory sodomy in the first degree, § 566.062, RSMo 1994. Defendant was sentenced as a prior and a persistent offender, § 558.016, RSMo 1994, to life imprisonment. The jury found that Galindo sodomized a four-year-old girl that he was babysitting.
