Defendant, Peter A. Hoye, was charged with unlawful possession of cannabis (720 ILCS 550/4(e) (West 1998)), unlawful possession of cannabis with intent to deliver (720 ILCS 550/5(e) (West 1998)), and possession of a firearm without a firearm owner's identification card (430 ILCS 65/2(a)(1) (West 1998)).
