Appellant Kevin Tomlin appeals from his conviction of obstructing legal process pursuant to Minn.Stat. § 609.50, subd. 1(1) (1996). He argues that the misleading statements he made to the police following a hit-and-run accident involving his friends were not sufficient to support his conviction under the statute. He also argues that the trial court's jury instruction on obstructing legal process materially misstated the law...
