The issues in this appeal are: (1) whether the sentence imposed on the defendant, pursuant to the persistent dangerous felony offender statute, General Statutes § 53a-40 (f),1 after his retrial was more severe than the sentence he received as a persistent dangerous felony offender after his original trial and, therefore, was presumptively vindictive and violative of the defendant's due process...
