On 22 July 1998, following the unfavorable jury verdict, plaintiff requested in writing that the court reporter furnish him a copy of the trial transcript. The court reporter prepared a trial transcript and mailed it to plaintiff on 20 January 1999. Defendant moved to dismiss plaintiff's appeal because of plaintiff's failure to move for an extension of time to deliver the transcript, and the failure of the court reporter to deliver the transcript within...
