Julie Beaty brought a successful race- and sex-harassment lawsuit under California's Fair Employment and Housing Act (FEHA), Cal. Gov't Code § 12904 et seq., against her former employer, BET Holdings, Inc. After she prevailed at trial, she applied for and was awarded attorneys' fees under Cal.
