A grand jury indicted Blenda Akridge on two counts of intoxication assault, committed July 4, 1998. Tex. Pen. Code Ann. § 49.07 (Vernon 1994).1 Two enhancement paragraphs raised her exposure on punishment to that of an habitual offender. Tex. Pen. Code Ann. § 12.42 (d) (Vernon Supp. 2000).
