Garland Lightfoot was convicted by a jury of possession with intent to distribute cocaine and cocaine base, in violation of 21 U.S.C. § 841(a)(1). He received a stiff sentence for his crime—315 months' imprisonment—but his appeal concerns three evidentiary rulings made by the district court during the course of the trial.
