Defendant Michael Lair was convicted in 1982 of one count of indecent liberties with a child and was placed on parole. A few years later, he entered into a diversion agreement on a misdemeanor charge of lewd fondling of a child, his parole was revoked, and he was committed to the custody of the Secretary of Corrections.
