The appellee in this tort case sued appellant, Brookshires Grocery Company, alleging that he fell and was injured in appellant's store on June 3, 1997, because of appellant's negligence. After trial, the jury returned a verdict in favor of appellee and awarded damages in the amount of $149,089.24 against appellant. From that decision, comes this appeal.
