The issue in this case is whether Pablo R., who committed an offense at age fourteen for which he could not have been waived into adult court had he been adjudicated as a juvenile, may now be waived into adult court as an adult because he absconded. Pablo observes that Wisconsin law establishes the juvenile's age at the time of the offense as determinative of the point at which the juvenile court can waive jurisdiction.
