On September 28, 1993, Evan Woods was charged in a two-count indictment in the Northern District of Illinois with: 1) being a felon in possession of a firearm in violation of 18 U.S.C. § 922(g)(1) (count one); and 2) possession of a firearm with the serial numbers removed, obliterated, or altered, in violation of 18 U.S.C. § 922(k) (count two).
