Eddie E. Lewis was convicted in the state courts of Indiana of first degree murder and murder while committing the crime of arson. These convictions were affirmed on appeal to the Supreme Court of Indiana, and the Indiana courts later rejected his request for collateral relief. This petition under 28 U.S.C. § 2254 followed, in which Lewis has offered two reasons why the Indiana courts violated his constitutional rights: police officers...
