The defendant, Balbir Singh, appeals from the judgment of conviction, rendered after a jury trial, of two counts of arson in the first degree in violation of General Statutes § 53a-111 (a) (1) and (4).1 On appeal, the defendant claims that he was deprived of a fair trial because of (1) prosecutorial misconduct, (2) comments by a court-appointed translator and (3) the admission of expert testimony...
