We granted a writ of certiorari to the Court of Appeals in order to address that court's application of the doctrine of respondeat superior to the facts of this case in Clark v. Chorey, Taylor & Feil, P.C., 240 Ga.App. 232, 522 S.E.2d 472 (1999). For the reasons that follow, we reverse the judgment of the Court of Appeals.
