In this appeal of two related criminal convictions, we consider whether the trial court's rulings on the defendant's motion for a new trial were erroneous (1) in failing to find there was a conflict of interest in defense counsel's representation of the defendant, and (2) in excluding the defendant's evidence of allegedly inadequate representation.
