This certified appeal from the judgment of the Appellate Court raises two principal issues: (1) whether, as a general rule, statements made in a stricken pleading are admissible as evidential admissions of the party who pleaded them; and (2) if so, whether statements in a stricken apportionment complaint are subject to that general rule.
